I am a tutor living in Miami, Florida. The different subjects in which I can provide tutoring help include elementary and middle school math, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, physics, reading, anatomy, biology, microbiology, Italian, and test prep. While in college, I tutored students in zoology and different branches of biology, including cellular biology. I believe that I am best at tutoring cellular biology, Italian, zoology, English, and molecular biology. Because I was once a student in need of tutoring and today am a tutor, I know that tutors or teachers often need to adapt their teaching styles in order to accommodate the individual needs of students. Additionally, I have the confidence that I can assist struggling students comprehend difficult school subjects and also teach them study habits and techniques that can be instrumental in both their academic studies and life. I attended Brigham Young University at Hawaii, where my major was pre-professional biology. I do have certification to teach TESOL English, and I am also a Story Exploring educator associated with the Mother Read Father Read program. With a great love of the outdoors, I ride and train horses and work on my small farm. These activities have led me to consider a career path in veterinary medicine, specializing in large animals. In my spare time, I also enjoy surfing, hiking, and running.
